Journey's is a free Bereavement Support Group
A 6 week course will begin each Monday, June 4 through July 9, 2012 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., at The Renaissance, 101 W. National Ave., Brazil. Melvin E. Turner, 100, of Brazil, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care, in Knightsville, February 4, 2012. Melvin was born in Hoosierville, IN November 23, 1911 the son of Samuel and Anna Turner. Melvin graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1929. After high school Melvin worked in Chicago at Western Electric. He also worked for the New York Rail Road Big Four. Melvin began working for Public Service Indiana in 1940 retiring in 1974. Melvin was a loyal member of Cross Lane Community Church in Terre Haute. Melvin enjoyed gardening and wood carving. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years Mae Turner. He is survived by his son Melvin T. Turner (Jeannine) of Anderson, IN; two daughters Anna Reed (Don) of Nashville, IN and Loraine Decker (Bob) of Brazil; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral InformationServices will be at French Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:00pm with Pastor Dick McShanog officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
